Andrea Gilmore

Andrea Gilmore served as Director of  BCA's New England from 1995-2015. A graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Historic Preservation, she is a member of the board of Historic Boston, Inc. and has co-authored "Paint in America: The Colors of Historic Buildings" by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Washington, D.C. From 1988 to 1996, Ms. Gilmore was an adjunct professor at the Historic Preservation Program of Boston University's Department of American and New England Studies. Andrea will continue to serve as an advisor to BCA.

In 2016 Andrea was honored with both the Tsongas Award, which recognizes the he successes, advancements and accomplishments of Women in Preservation, by Preservation Massachusetts and with the Massachusetts Historical Commissions' Lifetime Achievement Award for over 20 years of exemplary service in historic preservation in Massachusetts.
