61 Summit Street is a Queen Anne style masonry and wood residence designed by Edgar Allen Poe Newcomb and built in 1892 for prominent Burlington businessman, Edward Wells. From 1924 until 2003, the house functioned as the home of Delta Psi Fraternity. In 2007, the University of Vermont purchased the building to renovate it for use as an Alumni House.
